Hello Band Families,
For those of you who do not know, Varsity Revue is a Band sponsored school-wide talent show with acts from established performance groups from LHHS as well as solo acts by students from throughout the school. The band traditionally closes out the show during the finale. Parents, family, friends, alums, students and community members attend this show each year. This is one of our vital fundraisers for the year which helps pay for many things including but not limited to: meals for every band member every game day and at competitions, equipment, supplies, uniforms/costumes, instrument repairs, master classes, lesson assistance, marching show costs, winterguard activities, senior scholarships and much more.
While VR normally happens the week of Homecoming on Thurs. and Sat. nights in the Auditorium, due to Covid restrictions, we had planned to have it on the B Field one night only this year. With the electrical system not working at the venue, we were forced to push the date. As most have heard by now, we have had to postpone it yet again as the repairs simply will not be made in time and the focus this week needs to be on the 10/30 UIL competition.
Please know that much effort has been made by many to come up with the best possible plan despite the obstacles. The good news is that THE SHOW WILL GO ON and has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd, 7:00 P.M. in Wildcat/Ram Stadium! The students are out of school that day and hopefully most of you will be available that evening for a great event which will showcase so many of the wonderfully talented LHHS students.
We have a couple asks:
- Plan to attend this show. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, $10/adults, $5/students
- Volunteer to help and/or donate to the event. See the Sign-up Genius below.
Many thanks to all of our Directors, Principal Jones, Dora Velez and Suzette Potvin who have been leading the charge and have pitvoted repeatedly to help insure VR happens!
