This email is for drum majors and all woodwind and brass captains, section leaders, and logistical leaders. This does not apply to percussion and guard leaders as the event will overlap with percussion and guard camp.
If you are in town and able, we would like an opportunity to work with you all prior to Summer Band to ensure our leadership team is completely prepared to lead the LH Band to an incredible season. With a new Director of Bands as well as a new assistant band director, this time will help all who are able to attend feel confident about how they can best utilize their role to serve the group, and also feel familiar with the entire staff before Summer Band begins. We will use the time to get the leadership team moving at its best, work on strategies and techniques for teaching your sections, and also set some goals for the coming season. Please know that we totally understand that some of you already have plans that will not allow you to attend this mini-camp and that the staff understands that. All we ask is that if you are able that you attend, and if you aren’t, to please shoot me an email so we plan accordingly in terms of number of attendees. Here are the details:
