Playoff Volunteers needed!

Attention Parents! Want to get in free to the Playoff football game and help support the band? If you do, then we would love for you to volunteer to be a Band Chaperone!

Playoff Game Ticket Info

Tickets will be available to families of all participants to purchase starting on Monday morning at 12:01am until Wednesday night at 11:59pm. REMEMBER this code is only valid for a one time to purchase tickets. You will need to be ready to buy all the tickets you need when you enter the code the first time you enter the code. Have all your information ready to go before you enter the code. You can only purchase a maximum of 4 total tickets.

Use the code student id + date of game (ie 12345-1211)

All-Region Audition Updates

All students who are auditioning for the TMEA All-Region process will receive login information to access Music First, a web-based recording program.

The window for students to record the Region cuts is 10am on Saturday, 12/5 until 11:59pm on Wednesday, 12/9. You can record any combination of etudes in a sitting and revisit recordings after finishing them.

The biggest challenge in this process is if a student attempts to re-record an Etude, the previous recording will automatically be deleted! You may not record multiple takes of the same Etude and go through them to find the best one. Your LAST take will always be the recording stored. You can attempt recording as few or as many times as you want, but all recordings must be in BEFORE 11:59pm on Wednesday.

If using an iOS device, the MusicFirst Student app must be used because of limits on browser access to the microphone.

The first time the app is opened it will ask for the site to use, enter this text: tmearegion20-Band

If you already have the MusicFirst app, you will need to update the site URL from the Settings App, under the MusicFirst section.

2020 San Francisco Trip UPDATE

Unfortunately, RISD has suspended student/staff travel indefinitely which means that we have now officially cancelled the San Francisco trip.

TMF will be reaching out to all families who were signed-up very soon to verify important contact information to help get you refunds.

My understanding from TMF is that almost the entire amount originally paid will be refunded via check! Any amount that cannot be refunded due to nonrefundable deposits lost to travel vendors, TMF will refund the lost amount as a store credit to TMF’s Apparel division. They are creating a custom Lake Highlands Band Apparel Store for us to use that credit so that we don’t lose it completely!

It is VERY important that you check the email address you used to register for the trip over the next 2 weeks for communication from TMF. This is the first step needed to ensure you get your refund in a timely manner. Refunds will be issued via check to the updated address you provide TMF.
