Congratulations Seniors! We hope you enjoyed last week as much as we did honoring your commitment to the LH Band! A huge THANK YOU to the Senior moms who helped make it a special week!

REMINDER: ALL Woodwind and Brass players should have signed up for an in-person passoff with a director. These are occurring before and after school over the next two weeks – DUE 11/22. Please make sure you plan ahead to be on time to the session you signed up for!

Monday – Veteran’s DayJazz Ensemble 4:30-5:30 pm


Musical Rehearsal 7:15-8:30 am

Mock Auditions (Sax, Trumpet, Oboe and Bassoon) 7:30-8:45 am

Woodwind Masterclasses during class

LHABC Board Meeting 6:00-7:00 pm

4:15 pm – Eat immediately in Student Center

5:15 pm – Fully dressed in Arcs – Band Hall

5:30 pm – Depart for Grand Prairie

6:30 pm – Arrive in Grand Prairie

7:30 pm – Playoff game vs. Mansfield Summit @ Gopher-Warrior Bowl Stadium

10:00 pm – End of game – Load

10:30 pm – Depart for LH

11:15 pm – Arrive at LH


9th grade All-Region Auditions @ North Mesquite HS

time at North Mesquite: 8:30 am

Bus transportation is available – you MUST inform a director by Wednesday that you plan to ride the bus.

If you are riding the bus, call time is 7:15 am at LHJH!! NOT LHHS

Bus will not return until ALL auditions are done – could be as late as 5 pm

If you only want to ride the bus one-way, a note must be sent explaining that you will be picking your child up at NMHS after their audition. ALL directors will be busy judging throughout the day and can’t be readily available to discuss.

Congratulations LH Percussion!

LHHS Percussion competed on Saturday in both the Lone Star and Lewisville Drum Line contests.They won 1st place in their class along with caption awards for Best Snares, Best Tenors, and Best Front Ensemble at Lone Star and placed 3rd in class at the Lewisville contest.

We had a great group of band kids and parents up at the Band Hall today to help Garrett Woodbury complete his Eagle Scout project, which included engineering and building new shelves for our upstairs storage space! Thank you so much to the band students and families who helped out today!Students:
