Good evening LH Band families!
I hope you’ve had a great start to the school year.  We are off and running with school and Marching Band!
This week is pretty light compared to most of the Fall semester – only band rehearsals each morning is required for all students.  Rehearsal begins promptly at 6:45am each day! We have almost a third of the show on the field with the hopes of performing it for you next Friday night at our first Football game.
On Thursday evening, August 24th, from 6 to 8pm, Lake Highlands will be hosting the First Annual Wildcat Fall Sports Rally!

• ONLY be requiring student Student Leadership, SENIORS and Drum Line to attend.
• Call time is 5:30pm in the Band Hall!
• Wear your Black LH Band shirt, black athletic shorts and tennis shoes.
• If all goes according to schedule, we will be done performing by 7:30PM.
• The LH Exchange Club will be providing food for ALL in attendance!

Please visit with your band student to make sure they are bringing all necessary materials daily to rehearsal and band class.  It is important that all band members are prepared for each day.  Always check www.lhabc.org for details on the weekly schedule and be on the lookout for our weekly reminders as well as special announcements as they come up.
We’d love to see our parents VOLUNTEER with us this Fall to make marching season one to remember for everyone!  Look for opportunities to serve in upcoming emails!

Please continue to spread the word about our Snap Raise fundraiser!  We have currently raised right at $20,000 for the band!  Remember that our fundraising efforts keep band fees low and ensure that ALL students have what they need to enjoy a positive band experience.
