Welcome Mr. Moore!

Matt Moore is our new Assistant Band Director and Coordinator of Jazz and Percussion Studies. Mr. Moore is a percussion educator, composer, arranger, adjudicator, and performer in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

Mr. Moore's experience in music is highly diverse, beginning with piano, percussion, and vocal studies from a young age, continuing through horn in middle and high school band before focusing on percussion in college and beyond.

Moore holds a Master's degree with honors from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) and a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Campbellsville University, KY. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Percussive Arts Society, Pi Kappa Lambda national music honor society, and he is an educational artist for Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets. Moore lives with his wife Aline and dog Butters in Frisco, Texas.

PERCUSSION CAMP
June 17 - 21

Daily schedule: 8am-12-pm,
lunch break, 1:30pm to 6pm

What to bring - BATTERY:

athletic shoes
comfortable athletic shorts and t-shirt
sunscreen/hat!
a good one gallon water jug
sticks/mallets
band binder containing your LH Drumline packet with sheet protectors for more stuff
Battery members: make sure you're spending time outside between now and then jogging, etc. so it's not a huge shock to your body.

What to bring - FRONT ENSEMBLE:

athletic shoes (we'll all run in the morning)
comfortable clothes
a good one gallon water jug
stick/mallet bag
band binder containing your LH Drumline packet with sheet protectors for more stuff
